Is anyone aware of the 15’7" height restriction that appears to be in place on the M62 Eastbound in the roadworks as you approach the M60 interchange? I say “appears to be” because the position of the signs might suggest it refers to the service road for the roadworks but it isn’t really clear. The only other thing I can think of is that they refer to lane 1 in the roadworks which uses the hard shoulder and therefore passes under the lowest part of any bridges or matrix signs. I was planning on taking a 16’2" double decker along that stretch on Saturday but might have to re-think my route.
Passed it today, and yes, it would definitely seem it’s actually for the works lane.
However, I brought a 16’2" double deck through there on Friday, so no worries.

glad you’ve tested it then!!
he took it through and now its an open top double decker! Lol
There was one that I saw recently, they’d loaded a hi-top transit van on the top deck of a car transporter, as I drove past it was on the H/S with the transit now a cabriolet!!

There’s a grain of truth in this actually…the roof has now got a hole in it, but don’t worry, it’s because they are being replaced, and some new ones have arrived, therefore they spent no money on the old ones.
