Just a heads up to all you poor buggers like me who are unfortunate enough to have to use the M62 every night the numbskulls who count to potato are closing Jct 25-26 Tuesday night and saving the best one till last… Thursday Jct 22-20 and Friday Jct 20-22.
No doubt we will all see them parked up in their little vans with their feet on the dashboards playing on their phones as usual while us real people crawl through there crappy diversions running out of hours. (On Friday when you come off at Jct 20 don’t follow the Rochdale arrows left at the top of the slip road, go right to Oldham instead, last time I was the only one who went that way and bypassed all the tailbacks and only hit the tail end of it the last couple of miles to Saddleworth Jct 22)

I’d have turned right at Denshaw and gone down the 640 all the way to Ainley Top. Once you get past the dam and up to the top the road is pretty much straight all the way.
Yeah through Denshaw was the way I went when they closed it last time, bit twisty turny but no weight restrictions or low bridges on route. Cant understand why I was the only one to go that way and I had the entire road to myself while everyone else crawled through Rochdale stop starting.
