Hope the driver is ok :frowning:

Passed this coming eastbound 10 mins ago. There’s hardly any damage or none at all from what I could see on the bulk tipper. What would cause the cab to go like that as the damage looks to be on the o/s? I thought at first the tipper may have been on the hard shoulder and he has veered onto it and hit him but the damage would all be on the n/s?

Hope the driver is ok too.

Without sounding harsh, were there any fatalities in this accident? I’ve not heard of any, although I know the air ambulance was at the scene, I just can’t get my head around why the M62 is still completely closed over seven hours later!

It still shut then? There were no other vehicles involved apart from them 2 trucks and I haven’t heard of any fatalities. There was just the driver who needed tone cut from his cab but I don’t know how he is.

Got caught up in diverted traffic on way home, turned it into another thirteen hour day. So much on this forum about tailgaters and less so, but just as bad in my opinion, the drivers who cut in after overtaking. Not sure if this is what happened here, but somebody is to blame. Either way, if it means closing the motorway to establish who is at fault and then prosecuting them, then it is fine by me. Might make some of the half-wits keep their distance.

according to teletext, one driver was seriously injured.

Used to wonder myself why it takes so long to clear up these type of incidents ? then i watched this the other day, helped shed a bit of light on the matter.
