M60 J17 - 16 anticlockwise, long delays. HGV fire

This morning (Tuesday 10/10/17) long delays M60 J17 - 16 due to HGV fire.

He’s going to be in a bit of bother with vosa too if they see that load. Straps instead of chains on sleeper plate. Tut tut

I think vosa’s the least of his worries at the moment, specially regarding the load.

They’d have a job prosecuting him for his truck setting on fire tho

Night-and-day:

It’s been a long time since I chained steel up so I apologise if I’ve got this wrong but from various threads I’ve read here I thought that you must strap steel nowadays, the ridiculous perceived wisdom being that straps can hold a quantifiable amount and chains can’t be quantified. As I say, I may be wrong and am happy to be corrected.

You’ve to chain that load that he’s got on. When you collect it from the works it tells you it must be chained. If they’d of seen him leaving like that he’d of been stopped and made to chain it

All of which has nothing to do with the truck catching fire
