"A man has died after being hit by a lorry on the M6 in Staffordshire.
The man, in his mid-thirties, had parked on the hard-shoulder of the northbound carriageway between junction 15 and Keele Services, police said.
Ambulance crews arrived to find him seriously injured and in cardiac arrest. Paramedics treated him at the roadside but he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Staffordshire Police has appealed for witnesses to come forward."
Unusual that they say he “parked” rather than broke down.
I know we know nothing of this incident, facts or anything else so this is nothing on him.
But when are people going to start realising just how dangerous the hard shoulder is. The amount of times I’ve seen a group of (usually young blokes) hop out of their car for a quick ■■■■, a car with no lights on whatsoever in the dark with someone sat inside it or a mother getting out to sort something out with her back sticking out of the rear door after the dad had stopped on the hard shoulder.
I know no one should be colliding with things on the hard shoulder, everybody should be following at a safe distance and I’ll always try and move over to the middle lane if something’s on the hard shoulder but people need to get it into their heads that’s its a very dangerous place to be stood.
Again, I’m not laying many blame on the man who died and we’ll have to wait and see if the circumstances are released.
mabey he was leathering it round the lefthander slip onto the m6 and let it drift out a tad too much at the wrong time at which point the truck scudded him.
its a tighter curve than it appears and theres been numerous trucks flipped on the same curve.
rest assured,we will endeavour to explore all possible alternatives on csi tnetuk…
The Police are deliberately ‘vague’ about releasing the circumstances because they want any potential witness’s to at least corroborate what they already know.
You would be gobsmacked at just how many head case, care in the community nutters they get responding to such appeals.

Same ones that put flowers at the roadside when they don’t even know the person.
"Police have named a man who died when he got out of his car and was hit by a lorry on the M6.
Tarlok Singh, aged 41, suffered catastrophic injuries in the collision on the northbound carriageway of the motorway between junction 15 and Keele Services.
Police and paramedics descended on the scene at around 6.25am yesterday (September 27) but nothing could be done to save him.
It is believed Mr Singh, from the West Midlands, had parked his own car on the hard shoulder before getting out of the vehicle when the incident happened."
suicide by stupidity then assuming the artic wasnt riding the white line.
if it was at night and he had lights on then he would be seen probably more noticably than in daytime .
years ago my mate drove straight into the back of a broken down car in the middle of the night on the a74 dual carrigeway as it was being pushed along the nearside lane by two wazzocks blocking any view of the rear lights completely wrecking the lot.
sometimes its easier to see things at night if the lights are on.

I blame Diana for all the grief whoring like that.
Makes it easy to pick up a bunch for free if you’re in a pinch mind.

No mention of a Transit van?
Weird.
Definitely a blue transit van…missing a drivers door!
