Thats the bit baffling me or was this a sometimes smart motorway section? Didn’t think there was anything but normal and all lane running on that bit.
When I used to pull those from Grantham, there’d be something daft like 15 straps across them - took ages to strap up after climbing up and down the frame ladder. Was worth it I see.
Wonder if they swerved hard to make it drop.

When I first saw the photo, I thought it was a photoshop.
How did the Volva run over the concrete frame, without sustaining ANY damage? Front bumper and step intact, no damage to exhaust or adblue tank…
And how did the Volva driver straighten up on the hard shoulder, having carried enough speed to run that far over the concrete obstacle?
Answer to all your questions is I don’t know. But it’s not photoshopped I saw it with my own eyes and the photo isn’t lying.
I’d be less concerened about damage to the lorry and more concerned about damage to the drivers spine if he did in fact run over that at 50mph plus! Unless it was one of those one in a million freakish things where the slab was still sliding along and managed somehow to fit itself into the gap?

Lomas tanker?
Not Lomas because all their tanks have a big donkey engine on the front .
It was one of ashbrooks (Holmes chapel) and a Gibson’s tanker
Could it be that the concrete section slide of as it was overtaking the tanker

I thought that, but the scratch Mark’s on the road look like it slid along for some distance.
Unless, it slid of the trailer, but rested upright against the trailer, bottom dragging on the road due to momentum, until it slowed down and fell down behind the trailer (still moving forward). …
If that’s the case, a number of people need to go a d by a lottery ticket, sharpish…
