M6 shed load today

Does anyone know what happened at Spaghetti junction southbound today ?
I passed it going north…there was a huge metal “part” lying on the road blocking lanes 1 and 2,I reckon a pretty hefty crane would have been required to recover it,and a flatbed trailer with its headboard seriously bent :open_mouth:
There were no signs of straps or chains on the trailer…don’t know if they had been removed prior to recovery, nothing so far in our local papers.

When I passed at roughly 1400 there was,

A MAN (possibly) facing the wrong way,
An american style recovery truck with a flatbed trailer hooked up to its spectacle lift,
Another recovery truck, (an artic with a low trailer where the axles slide up towards the headboard to load it - possibly for the unit toi be recovered on)
A big metal casting lying in lanes 1 & 2 - A gearbox apparently
A lot a traffic, all the way back to J10 I think.
A fair few blokes pulled into the coned off bit, I guess for 45’s?

Thats one hell of a gearbox■■?

It won’t be the drivers fault though :exclamation:

The problem with this country is everyone wants rights with no responsibilities :grimacing:.

I bet the driver wants a right to ‘shed his load’ but no responsibility to ‘check it’s secure’ to save it going through the windscreen of the poor ■■■■■■ behind them
