Very slow traffic on M6 northbound after Sandbach Services, because of an accident earlier on. Congestion to J16, A500 (Stoke-On-Trent).
I’ve often wondered why that stretch between Knutsford and Stoke has always, (well certainly for last 30+yrs that I have used it) been an accident blackspot, and some pretty bad ones, despite it being straight, and the traffic calming measures over the years like chevrons etc. that have been put in.
I think part of the problem is that traffic joining at J19 clashes with traffic leaving for Knutsford services as they are very close together.
