Seeing as how they seem to be digging up every square inch from south of Southwaite at the moment, what’s the latest.
I’m night trunking from Gretna to J16 all week so it would be handy to be pre-warned of any likely hassles.
It’s much worse south of J16 bud.
Cameras at Tebay and Thelwall are your biggest concerns, don’t think you’ll be encountering any actual closures.
Thanks, I notice 11-10 and 5-6 were closed last week. quite a few of the company drivers seem to be going for a full set of tickets through the Tebay works 
I can confirm that there is a lot of work going on from Lancaster and in ■■■■■■■■ Around J34 they are starting to build the new motorway that will go out to Heysham, so work will be going on around there for the next few years.
There are lots of upgrades going on all the way down from J29, with new H/S barriers being installed, H/S preparation ready for another batch of “Smart Motorway” building.
Thelwall (J21 - J20) has a contraflow on it at the moment whilst they make major repairs to the bridge joints (there are also a number of other bridge joints around that will need similar work in the not too distant future (Prior J29 N/B lane 2, is a certainty soon)
From J19 down they are well into the preparation for starting to extend the “smart motorway” building.
The M62 from J20 down to the M60 at J8 is also one of the next patches of “Smart Motorway” work to be started shortly.
