Serious RTC M6 N/B closed J32 (M55 turn off) up to J33 (Galgate) All emergency services on scene, occupants being removed from vehicle by fire brigade.

We will be looking at opening one Lane past the scene of the RTC J32/33 M6NB in approx 30 mins. We will keep you updated.
Damaged vehicles now being removed, large patch of oil/diesel to clean up then at least 1 lane should open.

Gritter is on scene to sand the lanes once the HGV is recovered. I will update when things change.
Traffic queuing from prior J28 (Leyland) and on the M65 W/B towards M6
The trapped traffic is now being released, lane 3 is still closed whilst the oil / diesel is being cleaned up, and the last vehicle (what’s left of it) is being recovered from the H/S.
The motorway is still closed at J32 N/B until trapped traffic is cleared.
Closure being lifted, traffic is sneaking through J32 N/B although until closure is completely off, signals will remain, expect them off in next 5 mins, at the RTC location, lane 3 is closed.
Motorway reopened, traffic very heavy from prior J28 N/b and on M65 W/B to m6. expect this to take 45 mins - 60 mins to get back to normal.
