Diversion via A6 Lancaster to Carnforth.
So watch your heights on the bridge north of Carnforth.

Good point dude, I think it’s 15’ 6" but you’ve got to straddle the middle of the carriageway to clear the arch.
How you manage a 16’ 3" decker I don’t know
Oh great. So A1 is closed, our alternative unofficial diversion is closed and now the M6 is as well. Thats my job stuffed for 2 days as the additional 20 minutes increased to 40 minutes with having to go the M6 and now it’ll be over an hour added and it takes me 3h35m on a normal straight run. Guess I’m trying my new alternative unofficial diversion tonight. Looks like it’ll be real fun with 27 tonnes of chipboard on.

Whilst on the subject…The A43 Southbound from Towcester Roundabout is closed tonight and tomorrow night from about 2000hrs.
My run is now completely ■■■■■■ due to the unprecedented amount of road closures, leading to diversions, which in themselves are also now closed.
Running north from Newark tonight, A1 at J36 is closed. Rather than going through Doncaster, I’ll come off at J35, head onto the M18, then M62.
The A1 is closed at J50, which usually means peeling off at J49 onto the A19, off at Yarm onto A167, then rejoin the A66, onto the A1 then Scotch Corner. Can’t do that now as the A66 is closed at Darlington for 3 weeks at the Ford Garage, diversion I think is via A68 then onto the A1 north then onto Newcastle. I think there’s still major roadworks up there at Team Valley. The last time I was up there, got punted off and due to a 16ft decker had to run round the Geordie housing schemes to avoid a low bridge.
So despite all the above, I would normally just go M62, M61, M6 onto Lockerbie but the M62 is shut tonight at Wakefield, then there’s the closure at Lancaster!!

Come off at j47 take the A59 Knaresborough, Harrogate, Skipton drop onto the A65 Settle, Kirkby Lonsdale and drop on to northbound M6 at j36
