Anyone going up the M6 be aware that it’s closed between junctions 29 (where it meets the M65) and J31 (Tickled Trout, River Ribble junction) also the M61 north of J9 to the join with the M6 is closed.
There’s been a RTC involving a major chemical spillage just above J30 (where the M61 joins the M6) and it fried the road surface, the whole 4 lanes are going to be resurfaced.
The diversion route takes you through the centre of Preston and is gridlocked.
If you can, avoid at all costs.
Ffs its all happening today. Im surprised no ones mentioned the helicopter parked on m1 n/bound this morning j 15, ambulance it was for a crashed van and trailer transporting 2 cars. Or the wrote off renova wagon a couple of miles north of j 15. Both accidents looked very bad. I was stuck in the queue of rubberneckers s/bound.
Not to mention a big diesel spill on the M25 apparently by M23 junction which a according to the wireless sound box is causing 3 hour delays
