As of tonight the M6 south between J10 to J8 will be shut from 10pm to 6am for bridge repairs.
Diversions will take you down to rejoin at J7 ho bloody ho just what you want crawling down the a34 which isnt the best of roads anyway.

Oh so glad I don’t go up through that area anymore… I swear to god that for the last 7 years, if the 42 wasn’t shut, the 6 was and if the 6 was, so was the 5 and sometimes, the 42 & 5 at the same time, along with the A5…poxy bloody road network up that way!! What used to puzzle me was if you came of the 6 heading south at j9 and follow d the diversion, you seemed to keep turning left but rejoined at j7!!!

Probably easier to go down the Black Country route and joing the M5 at jct2 and back to the M6 or carry on the M5 whichever suits your route.
