M6 Incident today

M6 today, I was heading towards Manchester, opposite side saw a car carrier pulled over, few plod cars around him. little bit further down the road …1 Silver car scattered across the 3 lanes . Roof off an everything. Dunno if its a crash or a car has fallen off.

Junction 22 was closed Was between 12:00-13:00 today. Didnt know if it was open by the time I went home so decided to go through Wigan to get home.

Any one have any more details? Just being nosey.

Multiple RTC’s both c/ways. Seems there was a localised hail shower making the road slippery, as usual drivers didn’t adjust for the bad conditions. Air ambo attended both scenes.
On another nearby motorway there was a 14 vehicle RTC after the same hail shower. Too fast, Too close etc. but “It’s not my fault, I skidded” usual stuff.

The real Biffo:

Hail showers? Road looked …dry? The way I was travelling was clear.

when i drive i try to avoid getting jobs which involve driving on the M6,i absolutely hate that motorway, there is not a day goes by where something happens on it,be it roadworks or accidents,i came out of eccles one day late last year and the first thing that went through my head was lets see what joys the M6 brings, sure enough a few miles down the M62 and there were the lights flashing M6 JCN 19 TO 18 long delays,i doubt they will ever sort this craphole motorway out, ever since it was built there has been continuous roadworks, delays, and every other type of problem you can think of
