Does it matter? Regardless of if theyâre in the percieved âwrongâ because of their lane discipline, what makes it ok to drive that close and intimidate them?
I remember once driving my car along the A14 near Cambridge with my Mrs and little lad in his chair on the back seat. It was pouring with rain and as I pulled in after passing a container wagon my wipers suddenly stopped working. I could see f all so had to put my hazards on and slow right down and find somewhere to pull in. Didnât Mr container drive a foot from my bumper blasting his horn like a twunt. You should take note of that as Maestys job is truck driving.
Iâve tried like a knob to protect truck drivers, raise issues to resolve, justify some of their actions having been there and done it, but all i seem to be doing is leaving myself exposed with DfT as i press issues, twice this week in regards to parking facilities and lack of clean amenities etc i donât think things are going to get better you may just have to pay for the stuff you want and use.
Itâs a free market and all that, but it does seem to be failing in some respects, as truckers seem to want everything for free
