Where do you get your facts from Fatboy ? Almost everyone of your posts are futile and slanderous.I still drive trucks regularly. Is it just a coincidence that you pick up on another puerile poster or maybe you just both have limited capacity.

top of page three :open_mouth: you called me thick :unamused: I don’t need anyone to put words into my mouth! You’re a ! :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: two lads have died, simple as! RIP! :imp: but as this is transport ( and it ain’t hard by the way ) we have four pages FFS of MASTER drivers who’ve never made a mistake in their life! Occupational hazard, accidents happen everyday :unamused: you quoted in your posts you’ve drive. Three million miles! :open_mouth: whoooopppppeeeeee do, a round of applause for you! Yawn :grimacing: :grimacing:

From reporting the death of two drivers to speculation and assumption and on to slanging matches in 4 pages.

I hope none of the friends and relatives of the deceased ever google M6 truck crash as this page appears high up on the list.

But I think we rely on siting on top of the wheels and having a flat front cab too much.
If you add another 3ft of overhang at the front (a bonnet) then half the places would be inaccessible, your Dorking being a good example. Coming from Guildford on the A25 going towards the high street then doing a right into South street, if we had a bonneted unit then you would have to turn earlier sacrificing say another 2-3ft cut in on the trailer wheels which in turn (if you know what I mean) will hit the black steel cone things on the corners.

Don’t forget this is one of those yank units pulling a 53 foot trailer.

As for Dorking South Street with an artic pulled with a conventional ( or a cab over ) from Guildford just go through to the Deepdene roundabout and turn round there just in case.Because I’d be more worried about what the tail sweep might do on the left let alone worrying about what the cut in might do to the bollards on the right.

While a left turn here with a bonneted 6 wheeler Magiruz Deutz with a plough on the front could be interesting with a line of traffic waiting to get out at the junction.( They’ve moved the line back a lot from where it was in the 1980’s ).

While according to the Dutch it’s ok to pull a 45 ft trailer here with a conventional Scania at least. This was in Lincolnshire by all accounts.

The tail swing of the trailer clears the traffic light on your left by about half a foot as you swing right onto south street in Dorking but you do have to get it right, there is a book factory down Vincent lane that I have delivered to a few times on palletways… I might even take a picture just for you if I go there again!! But that turn in itself with that Dutch T-cab I would do what you said and go up to the round about and come back as there would be no way you would make it.

The HSS truck was stationary. Handbrake on. He was hit from behind and shunted into the
Moffett.

Shame we haven’t been officially told about it yet.

Handbrake on? How do you know this.

Maybe he was close to scene, knows stuff and can’t say publicly,

I have heard from various reliable sources there was an issue with seatbelt wearing or lack of at the Christmas day triple fatality, I don’t think anything official has been said on the matter yet.

Maybe some people are that sick of dealing with ‘unnecessary’ deaths & carnage they try to slip a message out ‘unofficially’,

If you want a couple of me, wear your seatbelt, and be careful with loose stuff in your vehicle as well as the obvious tailgating & watching the road in front.

But as usual they’ll always be a couple of Trucknet heroes who say it’s bollox & they know best  .

R.I.P drivers

Wise words, Ched.

I have said before about securing the cab contents, in case the cab rolls over and you get hit in the head with a bottle jack and wheel brace or a fire extinguisher, you may survive the crash but end up 6 feet under being killed by loose cab kit.
