I passed that earlier on, it did look bad, the tanker had ADR plates on, and the fire service was out in force.
As you say,.hope everyone’s ok.
Someone on twitter said driver has died but didn’t say which…RIP

Guessing the wagon driver, looking at the damage. Very similar to the wagon that hit a bridge upright near Corley Services about 20 years ago. He didn’t make it either. R.I.P. both of them.
On the twitter post I saw it said truck driver was airlifted to hospital for precautionary measures.
Hope it’s not true the suggestion he has since died.
Saw it on the N/West traffic police F/B page earlier saying all involved were in hospital in a stable condition,Tanker was carrying Alcohol according to the post.
Hope everyone involved pulls though,thoughts with the families.
Tanker looks empty to me, but happy to be corrected.
Tyres showing no signs of leaning under the weight of a full load as one might expect and surely to goodness the tank would be flat on its side if loaded.
Carntyne transport, ADR, plates, normally carry whisky and various spirits, still dangerous with fumes when empty, unless purged.

I read that the “dead” tanker driver has been arrested for dangerous driving!
Whoever put those props in (and the straps securing them) that are propping up the barrel (3rd pic) has got a proper set of stones on them, IMO!
It seems a young woman of 27 was driving the BMW and sadly lost her life…RIP
