Basically we wil be traveling up the m6 as far as preston are there any decent places to stop for breakfast.and is the holies still on the a5 nth of Birmingham.
The Hollies is on the A5 near Cannock. Come off at J12. Us Oldham Roughyed supporters have used it a few times this year on our long away game trips to games on Sundays. The Breakfast is good value £5 for the mega one. I noticed when I passed there a couple of nights ago, they have put new fencing up around the place.
Dunno if it’s improved but The Hollies food was crap. Truckers Rest half mile further on much better. Easier to get back to J12 too as its on the opposite side of the A5.

Further north if you come of the M6 on Thelwall viaduct (j21 iirc) A57 head for Manchester and about 2 mile up on left is the Sizzle Sisters portacabin
Only open in mornings though
Other way round now, I think truckersrest is crap and the hollis is great.
The hollis is owned by betfred and they have totally revamped it.

There was an article in truck stop news about it,looking at another 38 sites to build more like it,apparently.
Hollies has definite improved in the last year its now owned by Fred done from betfred
