The M5 was closed on Tuesday, maybe it was Wednesday around Junction 22 Highbridge southbound, I heard it was a fatal involving a car and lorry, did anyone hear what happened?

Actually probably not much help.
Thanks but couldn’t find much info there to be honest, the news I heard from another driver at our place was that a car driver had gone into the back of a Sainsburys wagon. Not sure if true.
I heard it was sainsburys too, but reading westerndailypress.co.uk/Traf … story.html it says the car hit the central reservation !

I passed northbound while the road was closed. There was a Sainsbury’s artic sitting in the road with it’s tail-lift lying on the ground behind it. My guess is that a car hit it hard enough to knock the tail lift off. everything else had been cleared away by then.
Thanks for the info, it’s been playing on my mind for the rest of the week. I assume it’s the car driver that passed away.
A passenger in the car, a 14-year-old boy from Poland, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, where he died the following evening.
