Anyone know any details and if the driver who went to hospital is ok. I’m normally up and down this bit most evenings.
No - got told about it this morning when I got back to the yard, we were diverted last night, I assumed it was roadworks. Dunno the details just a van driver went into the back of an artic on the hard shoulder, is that right?
29 yr old drivers mate in the van died.
That’s what was on the news
Ta for that. It’s sad that nearly every week you hear of a death. It’s even worse when it’s on a section of road that you use everyday.

Just these last few weeks it seems to be getting worse, R.I.P to the lad
I get ■■■■■ off from reading about these deaths caused by RTC’s,it’s very sad. It must be down to negligent driving skills. In general,I can never understand why car drivers swop lanes from lane two,to lane one at close range,4 foot or so,when there is about 1/2 a mile in front of me.
There again, the van could have had a tyre burst whilst overtaking.
