The freezing weather has obviously come as a big shock to the local council therefore the M5 has been closed between Avonmouth and WSM. currently given up and am currently having a 45 in Avonmouth. Informed the TO that theyād probably have to rebook for tomorrow only to be told āwell youāre down to do a 10am Royton tomorrow so weāll probably turn you around to bring the load backā. After Iād finished my Touretteās outburst I asked them if maybe it wasnāt a better idea to rebook me for Morrisons Bridgwater tomorrow and send the guy who they were gonna get to bring this load back tomorrow to do the Royton instead!
Obviously 300 miles dead running doesnāt matter to them.
Edit to add, traffic reporting that itās just reopened. Glad I didnāt bother going into Bristol on the diversion route!

Getting sleep Boxing Day afternoon, and then starting for 1 am , sounds too much like masochism to me mate.
I would take Maosterās later start , and parking up on M5 closure, AND getting paid for it over that any day, no brainer.
