M42 Speed Cameras going live

Beware:

The M42 variable speed limits and cameras on the stretch between 3A and 7 will be turned on Monday 28 November 2005.

This is according to signs which appeared over the weekend.

The cameras are above each lane on the gantries which display the speed limits and take photographs from the rear. No doubt Gordon Brown is looking forward to the possible increase in revenue

Lets make sure he doesn’t get it from us.

also remember that if the temporary speed limit doesnt have a red circle around it, its only an advisary limit and not enforceable.
saw loads of people braking hard there earlier for what was an advisary 40mph limit.
