As i didnt see this accident happen,i carnt point blame.
But a young mother died and her baby airlifted to hospital! This is a shocking one to think about!
Things have got to change,Everyday Hgvs are involved in something.

What do you propose to change?
I was once nearly taken out by a woman driving alone with her baby when I was on a motorcycle.
She’d put a sunblind in the nearside front door’s window, and pulled out in front of me.

The way car drivers and us truckers get our license for a start.
I am a night driver,And to be honest i only see good things.Never had a issue with a fellow trucker etc.
Accidents will happen i suppose the fact that it was a mother just makes you think if people wernt in a rush or paid attention and catch up on a read of the updated highway code .

Nothing to do with this accident at all, but yesterday I got held up on the M8 at Charring X due to a nasty accident. When I passed the scene, the Fire Brigade were working to remove a casualty from one of the vehicles. I seen 3 cars and 2 vans involved, but according the news it was an accident involving a HGV. I didn’t see any HGVs at the scene. It seems that it makes a better story when they mention that a truck was involved. Journalists giving us a bad name when we’ve had nothing to do with it.
It’s simple and I don’t want this to turn political, were just too full, our road network is at breaking point, no one has any time anymore its all rush, rush, rush to get to places, I’m not saying this was a factor in this accident just pointing out, there is no more room at the inn!
RIP to the young lady who sadly lost her life today.

If you had seen the incident what would qualify you to say who was to blame? My deepest sympathy to ALL involved. R.I.P. to the young lady.

It is of course quite possible that the HGV allegedly involved didn’t stop (either deliberately, or because the driver was simply unaware of what had happened).

Being unaware is quite easy to happen, I had some one run into the rear of my trailer whilst sat at 50ish on cruise, he must of hit me doing 80ish judging by the damage to his car, he shot off to the left into an empty layby, but he could have very easily ended up the other way taking out other vehicles, I didn’t feel much at impact and if I hadn’t had seen him I would of just carried on thinking I had just hit a pot hole or something.
I was sitting in traffic one afternoon when a Fiat 850 ran up the arse of the trailer. Never felt a thing. Someone else told me it had happened.
A real shame that someone else has died.
