Is it just me or why would you drive in that weather? Especially if your driving on sections of roads that has warnings for sidewinds? Me, personally I dont get paid over to drive in 100mph+ winds.
I’m not saying it can’t be done. But I would want £50 and hour. At least lol. Because I would have to plan my route carefully and try to avoid long exposed open streches of road.
This is just my view but if your TM tells you to go out and you are not comfortable driving in this weather dont. Heck, Doubles get blown about quite easily let alone in this weather.

no doubt he was either being a hero after browni points ,or put under pressure from them above him
I saw this clip on tv news.It only showed a few seconds, apparently from a dashcam, but it appeared that none of the three following cars stopped to enquire of the driver’s well being.Weather or not.

No idea.
But either way stopping can be dangerous on a motorway accident or not. Plenty of drivers have stopped to help fellow drivers out on a motorway only to be hit by a car at full speed.
Im not having a go at the driver, he or she must have been ■■■■■■■■ themselves, but it looks as if they didnt steer into the way the trailer was going. Ive seen youtube clips with the trailers well on the ■■■■, being recovered by turning into the lean.
I followed a taut on Friday up the m18 at the top part before the m62 where it’s very open to the elements. I was alright in a loaded bulker but his trailer wheels on the near side came off the ground completely about 5 or 6 time, once by a significant amount, the whole trailer was twisted! I was convince he was going over so held back as did all the cars behind.
What surprised me was he never once hit the brakes and just carried on at top speed. My thoughts were he’s either very brave or totally oblivious to how close he is to going over.
He went Hull direction and I Leeds. Hope he got home alright [emoji51]

I pull a curtainsider and have always found going faster in wind better, with the aerodynamics of a house brick pushing through the wind seems to help,I left luton on Friday and had Middlesbrough and Newcastle and back empty and made it back to toddington services, driving in the snow around teeside was a pain empty though.

Yep that’s the way I was taught years ago by an old hand when we were pulling single axle supercube box van foam carriers.
How did they reduce blow overs?
Covered the trailer floor out with concrete paving stones…I kid you not.
As for the guy who carried on after his wheels lifted 5 OR 6 TIMES ! !
Time to pull in after (or preferably before) 1st lift,.even under a m’way bridge, surely to ■■■■ they wouldn’t nick you under those circumstances…or would they?
