It was the interviews that they broadcast on the telly via the news where he slated all and sundry for making him miss his appointment.
I had the same bog standard reply, malcolmj
I believe his comments were also quoted in the Western Mail. Will try to check that later.
had it all while sat on the day, “i’m fed up with this, why’s it taking so long blah blah blah” don’t think any of these who desperately “had” to be somewhere even stopped for a second to think some poor bleeder has lost his life and there was a family somewhere in tatters having lost a husband and farther!
as for this ■■■■ who did all the moaning on the telly? he’s just short of a good kicking!
I want quoting from any news paper, I was repeating what I heard on TV on the evening news.

I didn’t hear the comments on TV, but I am puzzled that in every other country I drive in, the Police manage to get the road open within an hour or two after an accident, yet here the Police close a motorway all day to clear an accident.

I was having a moan about this last night, Harry, after being in Hams Hall and finding both the M1 and M40 were closed.
When I had that accident in Belgium a few weeks back now, the Police never even closed a lane off!!!
Three fire tenders and two ambulances and two police cars attended. As soon as they see they weren’t needed the fire boys were gone. One of the ambulances went as soon as he see he wasn’t needed. Within 25 minutes, a pick up truck arrived, pulled onto the hard shoulder. He used his crane to right the car, then lifted it out the ditch and onto his back, tied it down and was off.
From start to finish was less than an hour!!!
Apart from the traffic slowing down, there were no delays to any other traffic except for the poor cow whose journey I ended prematurely.
I think its the police’s reaction to accidents that causes the most agravation for motorists. They are quite happy to close the carriageway for hours while they “gather evidence”. Clarkson in todays Sun is spot on by the way. I reckon the people quoted were having a go at what they saw as an unnecessarily long road closure rather than anything else.

How else do you expect them to get there overtime in
At the end of the day the Police are the same as the rest of us…Typicle British workforce we want maximum money for the least amount of effort and the Police force are no different when it comes to pulling in the ■■■■■ strings the first thing to go is the overtime so can you blame them for dragging the job out at the first oppertunity they get… I know i would/do
But dont worry im sure the Police force will catch on as the other major employers already have and will soon be full of poles chzechs and lithuanians
