Sorry, can’t seem to post a link to the sentencing of the driver that caused this awful crash about a year ago.
Artic box jockey jailed for six years after admitting being on facebook seconds before his Scania ran into the back of a black Ford Mondeo, ramming it completely underneath the skelly in front.
The two guys were killed instantly in the Ford and the Scania hit the skelly and pushed that truck into the back of another seriously injuring the driver.
The report is in tonights Southern Echo (Southampton Echo).
Said on the radio that the jailed driver was a new pass and also that he had spent time on the phone etc.
“Are the people in the Mondeo ok” he said ffs, I feel for the people who had to recover the 2 bodies, plus he spent 13 minutes on the phone before hand 6 yrs not enough.
Unbelievable. That car would have had to be cut apart with a tin opener to get them out, poor sods
