anyone else stuck in traffic jam at junction 27,think it’s caused by a shed load
I came down the m11 on to the m25 this morning at about 0515 and was clear, can you get on the m11 ok or is it worth going a different way? will be around that area at 0845 0900.

I past both incidents on my way back home this morning:
The m25 one was caused by about 6 IBCs and a couple of drums falling off the back of a foreign trailer, lots of white liquid on the ground and all lanes blocked.
The m6 one looks like a body on the carriageway just infront of a hgv, police and all the usual suspects at the scene.
Looks like both will be closed for some time.

Proabably too late, but A13 to A406 and up to M11 is the best route, probably congested but it should keep moving…
M25 closed in Essex after chemical spill
The fire service said it would take several hours to clean up the road
A section of the M25 in Essex has been closed and a lorry driver arrested after chemicals spilled on to the road.
Several motorists told police containers fell from a lorry on the clockwise carriageway near Theydon Bois at about 05:00 BST.
The spillage is near the Bell Common tunnel and the M11 junction.
The section between junctions 25 and 27 clockwise will be closed until lunchtime, police said.
Officers said they had reports that several containers had fallen from a lorry and hit the central reservation.
Driver arrested
It was originally thought the spill involved about 3,000 litres of a chemical liquid, but the fire service said 750 litres of nalco and 25 litres of arminol were spilled. Both are non-hazardous.
Chemicals specialists were called in, with the Environment Agency carrying out the clean-up.
The BBC travel unit stated at 12:30 BST that the clean-up and recovery operation was causing “severe delays” with tailbacks for six miles.
The 43-year-old driver of the lorry has been arrested on suspicion of motoring offences and is being questioned at Harlow police station.
