M25 J8

Serious incident. Closed both ways at the minute, Air Ambulance has landed. Anti-clockwise could be closed for some time.

Two lanes have been released on clockwise but will be closed when Air Ambulance lifts off.

To add to the misery, M25 J23-24 road closed HGV fire. So basically going North to South on the M25 is a NO!!

Just found these pics on twitter of the problem around the top of the M25

Did well to get it pulled into a layby

Isn’t that the bit with no shoulder?

rip SF08 turbo blew .driver ok .driver had seconds to get out only time to get phone .nothing else.cooked turkey for sale.big bang then flames everwhere

Just found this pic of the problem around the bottom

Someone will be along shortly to say that tailgating was unlikely probably ‘driver illness’ AGAIN

At least the curtains look 1/2 open

But there’s something between Leatherhead and Reigate on nearly a daily basis.

Any suggestions as to why? Is it just the sheer volume of traffic? Tbh, I’ve always found it to be a quietish section.

NOVE:

Not with those concrete road sections it’s not!

J8 - J9 is normally a quiet section as neither 8 or 9 are busy interchanges.

Whatever the cause let’s all be grateful there wasn’t anyone sitting in the back of that car.

had a turbo go in my M A N, crapped the life out of me,it was just like a rifle crack, everybody heard it, all the car drivers were looking to see what it was as was me,i didn’t realise until I joined the M4 at j6 and realised I had limited power from the engine, got back to the yard and a mechanic was called and confirmed it was the turbo, didnt know it could cause a fire though so I consider myself lucky
