I never queue up with the plebs, I come off and go past Bluewater etc

Where do you get off? On the A2?

come off @ Bean and take the B255 north over 4 r/bouts left @ the 5th r/bout and just follow through until you get to J1A.
i went that way once and i never used it again as it aint any quicker it just seems as if it is.
you still end up in the queue just nearer the tolls.
its aroundabout route for a short cut.

it’s done my box in for the last 2 weeks. Half term last week, and then this week there seems to be an accident in one of the tunnels every morning, which ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  it up for the entire day. And just for good measure, in the queues there’s been a few accidents.

Aaaargh Harry what have you done :imp: don’t tell everyone about it.

I came back that way last week and there was a Discovery conked out on the top roundabout and an artic in lane 2 just at the end of the on slip that was being recovered. Not sure if the chaos I had to fight through was better or worse than queuing with everyone else though.

Wasn’t there something like Ā£6 million in unpaid charges by foreign trucks on the congestion charge.
Really can’t see how forigen trucks get away with unpaid fines and tickets. In this age of instant communication any unpaid fines should be flagged up at exit ports and trucks should be impounded until they pay.
*****fingermissing beat me to it!!!

Yeah, i’m not sure where I got the Euro vehicle bit from…the BBC didn’t mention it.
They still don’t have reciprocity between DVLA and the rest of the EU so I
don’t know how they will handle the foreigners.

Well, the thing is that exchange of the data works on MUTUAL basis. So as long as DVLA will refuse to provide foreign goverment agencies with data for British vehicles, they can forget to get any info from Europe.

Benelux, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, and I think some more countries have such deal in place and there is no escape for German driver in Poland or for Czech driver in Belgium.

Hmm, maybe this is not working…

Obviously not, otherwise I would already have some 50 points of my license, as I found one place near to my parent hose with idiotically placed speed camera as a handy place to overtake everyone else who slows down there (off course as long, as I am driving my British car :stuck_out_tongue:)

The thing I am talking about (based on a piece I have read in Polish paper some time ago) is kind of direct deals between the countries, not involving any international threaty.

bit of convenient tape or mud over number plates will go on the rise in the area if this has the go ahead… still it may help make the crossing a bit quicker in rush hours…
