M11 accident black spot

I read in the papers that yet another fatality happened on the M11 at or near J8…A polish named driver was killed along with passengers on a coach which had pulled onto the hard shoulder, the truck driver ploughed into the rear of the coach, turned over and killing himself. Apparently he was from maidstone.
What amazes me is the amount of accidents that occur at or near this junction on a regular basis. I think drivers need to be aware of the road layout in this area as the motorway goes from 3 lanes to two, the nearside lane being for the services and local area, the other 2 lanes continuing up the M11…Why oh Why do drivers not concentrate on where they should be going.
There is absolutely no need for anyone driving into the rear of a stationary vehicle, if their concentration was at it highest, and they value not only their lives, but those of others. I feel the standard of driving today is very bad, considering we were once the best drivers in the world ( supposedly )
We have all encountered the idiots on the road, driving fast, fiddling with the music player, on the phone, eating etc, it only takes one idiot to cause carnage, and for my money a lot of drivers have very little knowledge of driving on motorways…its not even in or part of the driving test…so why not, and theyre even considering raising the speed limit…i would lower it, until it can be proved that these roads are a lot safer, and drivers trained to the relevant standards.

You can’t pass comment until we all know what happened, he might have had some kind of mechanical failure or fainted at the wheel, or got carved up, could have been several things rather than human error. You shouldn’t hang the poor bloke before the verdict is out . :smiling_imp:

My opinion of you is that youre a ■■■■ for putting the blame on someone who cannot defend himself because he’s dead, if you witnessed the incident put yourself forward as a witness, if you didn’t shut the ■■■■ up.
