I think it’s rediculous that it took that long to get him down. Few crash mats laid down then send someone up to push him off. Whisked away in a police van and job done.

The expense of closing that road for so long is huge. Peoples flights missed, deliveries missed, drivers running out of time and the waste if emergency services resources just to name a few things.

Should of just got 4 trucks to park side by side underneath the gantry to break his fall
after they had climbed up and pushed him off.

He obviously wasn’t going to kill himself. Doesn’t appear to be a mental health patient who sometimes do jump. We’ve all seen the flowers on the bridges.

He was more a protester and if he’s complaining about a murder attempt I assume he values his life. No way was he going to jump. Crash mats underneath and go up and arrest him. Job done.

His passport should also be flagged up to the authorities. Then when he next tries to go on holiday and he should be arrested, bundled into and van and driven to the nearest traffic jam to sit in until his plane takes off.

Climb up there taser the prick and sling him in jail. 30 minutes bish bash bosh. Those signs even if you jumped you couldn’t kill yourself no high enough.

That’s what the uk does best pander to these stupid ■■■■■■■

Just been reading the local paper it cost the public £29 million :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Not to mention me having to use a 15hr day and 10hr drive on a bloody Monday. :imp:

Not the first time he had done this, and he is supposed to have warned the police he was going to do it.

He owes me 15 mins ,I had to divert via Hathern ,shepshed and Copt oak .

So if you have no job and can afford to waste a whole week or more of your life, if you go up there prepared you could spend a week or longer up there…What is to stop anyone doing this?

Where’s the marksmen when you need 'em ?

More to the point, negotiators were not that good? 24+ hours!!

Last time i was held up took Staff Police 45 minutes to talk someone down an M6 near J15 a few years ago…
