Went past N/B about half 7. Body still in carriageway and it supposedly happened at 2-20am. Was a walkers crisps truck pulled up just after it so don’t know if that was involved. Also was under a bridge so I know what I think happened. Traffic backed up southbound almost 20 miles.
All re opened at 9.15 i went thru
Lost 2 hours in it

I’m sure his reg number must be on film somewhere in
this age of number recognition cameras.
It happened before 0300 with fewer trucks around.
I went past N/B just after they started stopping the S/B traffic and there looked to be a body lying in the inside lane just under the bridge. There was a National Express Bus and 2 HGV’s stopped beyond the bridge on the hard shoulder and a few vehicles stopped on top of the bridge.
No idea what has happened though, not a nice sight though if you we’re on the S/B side 
I went over top at about 630, guessed some one had possibly jumped as the bridge had police tape on the path and cop cars surrounding something just under bridge. saw a co op?? city trailer parked on hs and some other wagons. didn’t look good.

Maybe the alleged jumper, RIP, hit the top of trailer and the Driver knew
nothing about it, so continued to go about his business.

Were you driving a lorry on the M1 Southbound in Nottinghamshire this
morning (Thursday 30 May 2013)?
The M1 Southbound has reopened after an incident in which
Officers believe a man may have fallen from the bridge and
subsequently struck by a vehicle.
The incident happened near the A52 bridge at Junction
25 at around 2am.
The man, who has yet to be identified, was taken to Nottingham’s
Queen’s Medical Centre, where he was pronounced dead.
If you saw the incident or were the driver of the lorry, which
was pulling a white trailer, call Nottinghamshire Police’s Crash
Investigation Team on 101 extension 800 2225, or call Crimestoppers
anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Saw this just after it happened, I was joining at J25 to go south, saw police and lorries on hard shoulder as well as a huge queue behind them… WHY on earth do these people not take the exit and join at the other side■■?
