what sort do you have? you have it on full auto? (tripple tap/double tap or single shot   sorry reading lee child novel at the minute), the auto focus needs be told to constantly re-focus for fast moving, on canon like al servo etc not SINGLE SHOT.

Booked in when??:
G.A.L !!!

assuming thats not said tounge in cheek…if it floats his boat so what? each to their own and all that,

I put them in aperture priority and set the iso to 100… the weather was good. I let the camera set the shutter speed and used a tripod the longest exposure was 1/400 70% came out good others were ok good enough for a 6x4 photo maybe A4 nothing better. I had the focus set and fixed on lane 1. To be honest i was nervous I expected drivers to give me grief and not 1 finger  im sure i looked like a ■■■■ but It gives me something to do.

I had enough coming home sitting on my bum and this has got me out and about and i meet allot of people to and i’ve tagged along been taught things. Obviously not every-ones idea of fun but I enjoy it. I’m hoping for a clear sky tonight (looking doubtful) going to try and take a amazing sky at night shot.

While you are still practising I would set the ISO at the highest possible. I usually use 800 for motorway shots but do not go above 1,250 as it get’s too grainy but it is difficult at 100 to get a clear shot. What length lens are you using and f setting. I prefer a 300mm and the one I have is f4 so usually it is set aperture priority f4 and the camera sort’s the speed out.

at gaydon at the weekend truck photos were fetching between 40p and 70p per photo. there was boxes and boxes of them there with no end of drivers queing up to see if there motor had been taken.

does anyone know who the guy is that parks in the layby between bassetts pole and the belfrey and crosses over the road to take the photos. been caught a couple of times by him and would like to see the photos

easy to spot mate…

When i used to take pics i used my SLR on full auto as i found it a lot easier than getting the right settings, the pics were pretty good too. I was using a 20-200mm lens, most were from 100-200yds
