RIP…Ford Anglia■■? Blimey, we had one of those when I was a young 'un in the 60’s!
I came past the scene on the northbound side at midday saw the yellow Ford Anglia on the hard shoulder, a Ford Focus estate facing the opposite way by the central reservation and a Stobarts truck with frontal damage on the hard shoulder.
The Anglia didn’t seem to have much damage unless the woman was thrown out on impact maybe for her to have died, my thoughts are one car maybe going too fast up the slip to join the M1 cut someone up everybody brakes including the Stobarts driver then hey presto yet another fatality.
I was on my way to the Silverstone classic with my dad, when the matrix signs diverted us off down the A42/M42 via the M40. Incidentally one of the race car drivers died on track yesterday also. autosport.com/news/report.php/id/115183 .
It was a grim day all round. 
One hell of a detour was signposted, off for M42, M6 South
Would have taken a bit longer to get to Leicester yesterday

Oh dear, that was Denis Welch who had the car restoration business on the A515 at Yoxall. Was into the Big Healeys and had some nice stuff, my friend bought a car from him last year. Very sad.
