An accident had happened just a few minutes before I passed Toddington msa going n/b,at about 08.30.
There had been a coming togther between two trucks and two cars around the exit slip for Toddington s/b,all four lanes blocked with debris,cars involved were in a right mess,hope no one was seriously injured.
Was anyone caught up in the queue that quickly built up?
4 flippin lanes & they still can’t merge without crashing…
I was caught up in that, only seen 1 HGV involved though, which was a double decker, there was 2 cars involved as far as I could see, one old vauxhall corsa that was in a right old state. Looking at where it happened I thought that it could have been caused by someone leaving the services.
A broken white line at the end of a slip-road = Give Way.
No vehicle shall traverse that broken white line to join
the motorway if by doing so it is likely to endanger the
driver or any passenger in any other vehicle or to cause
that driver to change the speed or course of his vehicle
in order to avoid an accident.
At that point,there are four lanes AND the exit slip road,still not enough lanes for some numpties!
