A body has been found on a stretch of the M1 motorway.
The northbound carriageway was closed at about 03:00 GMT due to a “body in the road”, Northamptonshire Police said.
It is expected to remain shut between junction 16, near Northampton, and junction 17, near Rugby, for most of the day while investigations take place.
Motorists have been advised to seek alternative routes.
