Travelling NB last night at around 1945 saw queue ahead signs, was literally about to divert onto A46/A50 and thought nah its probably only roadworks so carried on.
Sat in stationary traffic for 45 mins. When we finally got to the ‘accident’ it was the police who had pulled over a convoy of travellers!!! FFS why the hell not take them to the next junction rather than causing absolute chaos and delays! They shut the motorway down to 1 lane despite them all being on the hard shoulder. Unbelievable how much time and money that cost everyone going north last night!!

In those circumstances 99.9 % of drivers would of got a break in whilst stopped for 45 mins ( but there’s always one !!! )
Did Swordsy know he would be stationary for 45 mins? Does he get paid for breaks ?
And its not would of,it’s would’ve. A contraction of would have. Sorry,I got out of bed on the wrong side this morning.

Because if you give them any chance at all they’ll do a runner. Can guarantee that once you stopped them if you let them move some of them would be off again and some of them would get away.

They need room in case some of those they detained tried kick off or to leg it and given the way some of the double decker brigade drive it’s safer for everyone to create some space.
