With only a 5 hour break…gotta be an irish firm innit…

Laughs on you mate - I said I had a 5 hour break - I didn’t say it was a daily rest did I . Get your facts right otherwise its you that looks like a bellend. You know where I loaded and you know where I tipped .you have no clue how I got from start to finish. There are at least 4 different ways to ship across the Irish sea for that job and get to Warrens. The job was done legal. Try and figure it out before youjump to conclusions.

cant blame him for saying that Irish brought the reputation on themselves and its something that’s never going to be forgotten

Dropping a trailer even at top speed forgetting about lines would take about a minute, if you forget the legs it would take about 30 seconds. A fire could easily engulf a cab in that time the only time id even consider it is if it was a rear trailer fire to save the unit.

Forgive me if I’m wrong but how can the driver of the pictured unit " reasonably " be asked why he never dropped the trailer !!!

THE UNIT IS ON FIRE FFS :unamused:

there is bound to be a bottle of ■■■■ kicking about.
any decent driver would have put the fire out with his trusty ■■■■.
if you don’t have a bottle full of ■■■■, then a more experienced driver might lend you some.

Let us know if the driver is ok when you contact the office!

Driver fine and again the question was asked “why dint you drop the trailer” Gotta love these office people aint ya lol

There’s no saying it was possible or he had time to, but it’s not an unreasonable question to ask

Ok so your driving along and smoke starts coming from somewhere… first thing you try to get it out the way if you can, now seriously are you going to attempt a de couple on a hard shoulder of a motorway?

In some circumstances yes, not in all - as the unit was on fire in this case rather than the trailer, more likely not I have to say (as opposed to splitting unit from trailer if that was on fire) but we’re not talking a textbook drop - pull the pin, screw the airlines and landing legs

What I said was it’s not unreasonable to ask

I passed it when I was northbound. It was out but a complete mess! I came back southbound about 2 hours later and its was completly gone. Full credit to the recovery and emergency services

i was at lutterworth when this job came in.
as usual they were on route within a few minutes of warrens reporting the problem and they take a pride in clearing the road as quick as possible with the right equipment for the job.
