Be careful what you wish for, next thing it’ll be compulsory retesting of lorry drivers, and given the idiocy of some i’m only surprised it hasn’t come yet, dunno how many attempts it would take me to pass again with coming up to 40 years of bad habits to eradicate…and there should be a full test for any no britain that comes here to drive a truck no matter where they come from
We should adopt the same system as the yanks and Ozzies where they have to take a test to convert their licence to that country’s.
I know of an 87 year old man who is blind in one eye and has tunnel vision in the other. He still drives because his doctor hasn’t told him not to!
Re the “old people’s test” I’m all for it, and I’m 73.
But why not a retest for all drivers every five years, regardless of age or convictions?
