Yet when a fellow trucker dies because he was being reckless by texting/cooking breakfast/watching a film, it’s all “RIP” and “it’s so sad”, even if he takes out a load of innocents with him as well.
I suggest you find your nearest dictionary* and look up double standards.

Your talking trucknet here. When I think of some of the stupid things I’ve done over the years it’s lucky I’m still here. Did I deserve to die. No but if I had I would have no one else to blame buying lucky I’m immortal well I am so far.
Really gets my goat on this site the way it’s lorry drivers do no wrong it’s everyone else. I drop clangers at times luckily usually minor ones and see other professionals do it too its life.
But I see plenty of drivers including truck drivers out and about and I think I wouldn’t trust them on a paper round.
It’s an awful thing to happen but it is natural selection at work. I’m not saying we should kill all of the stupid people but just remove the warning labels and let natural selection do its work.
I have a picture of my grandad and some blokes he worked with on top of the post office tower on London not a high viz or hard hat on sight.
Real hard men but knew there risks and acted accordingly no more people got killed then than now.

I have to agree with some about Asian drivers though! Especially in East London!
