40mph restriction and sign “Slow down,Workforce in Road”
In all the Weeks haven’t i seen from Monday evening till Saturday Mornings any Night any Person exept the Car with security
Were it not possible to keep it over night at 50mph?

I agree. Also note that southbound the 40mph has been extended for around another mile after the lanes rejoin the main carriageway. This happened last Wednesday night and has caught many people out. I’ve watched nearly all trucks and cars accelerate back up to cruising speed as soon as they rejoin the main carriageway but there are about another 4 sets of average-speed SPECS camera’s along there, set for 40mph  .

It is amazing all the people that actually slow down for the specs camera postions then speed up again and then brake at the next camera,

It too late then!!!

Never mind just a whole lot of speed tickets getting printed out at their expense!!!

I’ve been held up there several times this week. It wouldn’t be so bad if there were anyone actually working on the carriageway. Anyone get held up with that awful crash this week? 3 hours sat doing nowt.

I am sure they are national speeds limit signs as you rejoin the main carriageway?

Was that the one where that car was on it’s roof.
Did anyone see the accident between j22 and 21 on Thursday morning at about 3am.
What happened there that did look serious.

Nope, they were on Tuesday night but Wednesday night they’d gone and the 40mph limit signs remained in place for a good mile after the roadworks had finished, along with the SPECS cameras up above. There was only the hard shoulder which was coned off at this point so I don’t know why the 40mph has been extended so far. After the cones on the hard shoulder had finished the national speed limits were to be found. Trust me, I’m right on this one, so keep your speed down unless you fancy a ticket! .

It looked like an Actros had driven into the back of one of those slow moving cranes. The Actros was through the central barrier and on the other side and there was also a Tesco wagon involved with side damage. I didn’t see it meself, just relaying info from another member who told me about it.

Over the last month those road works have been murder with three major accidents that I know of, and why well if you looked at the way they had the studs set out no wonder, this weekend the roadworks are still there but well to the other side of the service area, and guess what totally differant stud set up.
