Apparently as of tomorrow they are requiring photo ID and will search your cab before you enter the site. Was a notice up in the transport office this weekend at NFT

If the Government were a little bit more picky about who they let they into the country in the first place, they wouldn’t need to check anything, the white Anglo Saxon natives of the island are not known for their terrorist behaviour 
I would have a little bit of fun if I had to endure that kind of thing, arab music playing on the radio, a copy of the Koran on the dash, pictures of my seven wives all burka’d up and tell them my name is Mohammed, but my mates call me ‘Boom Boom’ I would also ask security if they’d eaten pork in the last 24hrs and refuse them entry into my cab if they had 
Hahahaha, yer maybe we should all say we are Muslims and that it’s against our religious rights to have our prayer space searched like this, a cereal box with wires poking out might be a little far tho

I was told by several staff at Waitrose at Aylesford that they have the “official Olympic food supply contract”

I suppose thats the difference between awarded and nominated but i think they have a store in or around the Olympic staduims

And they are getting crazy about security too. The are installing cameras all over the place for the last three or so weeks. They say that is for security during Olympics.
I delivered to the building site that was one of the olympic stadiums last year and they tried to take my knife off me because it was dangerous, 1st I was a tramper, that knife was for my food, 2nd I was driving a 44t truck which I’m sure could do more damage than a bread knife
They go OTT all the time, had security checking my cab at ports for years, they usually pop their head in and say ok, if I had a bomb, would it really be in plain sight? Oh, I’ll keep it on the dash and I’ll label it BOMB too, just to help the morons out

Yeah i think there are far better places to conseal things in a truck then in the cab, If i was going to try and get a bomb past security i think it would be far better somwere under the cab
