Yes, Garners have to be the Smartest Tipper Fleet in the North West. I’ve never seen a dirty one and there alwas lighted up like a Christmas Tree when I see them.

Agreed, I usually see them around Wigton in the early hours of the morning, I assume straight out of the yard so are completely spotless

Yes, most of them are. I sometimes see them at around 10.05am on a Saturday heading back to Kingside Hill on the Thursby road. Sometimes, theres a Carrs tanker closely behind, but out of the two, I’d rather see the Garners.

At the extreme risk of facing an avalanche of abuse, but IMHO,the BS on those tractors is so far OTT it is “out of sight” do the drivers wear pink clogs? Seriously,what is the point of putting shots like that on an Old time site other than for some unexplainable fetish!! Fair enough,there will be some sort of site for “christmas trees” but I don’t think this TN site is the place,my opinion only and no doubt some will vehemently disagree,but it’s a free country and still (just) free speech.Pass the bucket and towel,Cheers Bewick.
Dennis, I have to agree, they are some of the ugliest lorries I have seen!! But then , they are just part of the “modern” genre, of “sameness”" Compared to a Berliet, Bernard, Bussing, Fiat,Somua, Atkinson, Leyland, of the 60s, and 70s, very shallow…but potentially a nice livery, paint wise! Cheerio for now.

The Scania is a touch ott really, and I’ve never been a fan of the yellow lights, but I think the 2 DAFs look very tidy actually. Not ott and a company still making effort has to be appreciated amongst the sea of plain white units we get these days!
