M J Church

Anyone give me the Gen on M J Church, class 2 tipper work, thanks

Very well kept MAN tippers, low loaders and skips. Have a large plant hire fleet aswell, their yard’s on the A420 at near Chippenham. They do most of the tipper work for M4/ M5 maintenance. They had a Hell Drivers reputation a few years ago, but I worked alongside some of their drivers at Raf Brize Norton and they were a nice bunch. A few very cab happy chappies and a few normal guys too.
I’ve heard they’re expanding to cover the Hinckley Power Station contract, they were tipping at one of the old quarries near South Cerney a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks
I do see them about, but, not to speak to
Wondering about, Wage, Hrs, Work etc

There’s a clue  and I like it

Normal tipper hours, (10-11/day) have heard it was £8.50 ph. Quite a few of the drivers have been there for a while. They’ve run plant at a couple of tips I’ve been to and the machine drivers were a good bunch (not like the miserable old ■■■■ on the dozer at Shipton Quarry who thinks you can keep reversing back even when you’re down to your axles).

come on you should know that means less distance to push it ,and more time for tea and feet up  you just need a better run up

Why do all the dozers on tips have bogmaster tracks? Surely narrow tracks (better compaction for the uninitiated) would mean lorries could get back further?
They let artics tip on their landfill too; Old ■■■■ on dozer couldn’t grasp why I wouldn’t tip alongside one on Friday.

They are recruiting for the roadworks job on the M3 130 a shift don’t know if that’s paye or s/e though.

when it gets wet they will be parked up ,and will need to hire in a bogmaster , you can go for an in between ,longer carriage and slightly wider pads

Gone are the days when an old International 175 would do the job, once their days out on hire were over.
