Well me a fortnight ago (curtains slashed )
And last night my work mate had his back door lock pole cut
Have been done in Lymm like countless others, every day on FB I see posts about it

I take issue with the 3rd picture.
Only a complete moron would cut the right hand pole to remove the Bull lock.
The right hand door needs to be opened 1st to facilitate the left hand door being opened so how do you open it at the top?
If the left hand pole had been cut to remove the Bull lock I could understand it.
The fact that there’s no markings where it has apparently been sawn, I suspect photoshopping.

No photo shop mate coworkers truck so no FB bull, shine
Why fit a Bull lock on a taut liner back door?
It’s inviting damage and advertising that there’s something valuable inside.
In all my years of driving I’ve never seen a Bull lock on anything other than a container, fridge or box trailer.
Baffled to say the least!

I was thinking that with the roller buffers.
Moto, could stop this by installing barriers, and employing security, just post them on SM, via Twitter or FB, eventually they might get the message. To much bad PR is not good for a large company.

It didn’t stop it before. I think the barriers were stolen!
Seen too many cars/vans etc just driving into the truck parking area with nobody bothered. Undoubtedly a lot are driver swaps (I’ve done it myself a few times) but I don’t think all of them are. Especially at night time.
Not much…
Point in barriers etc when some of the culprits are other drivers.
Foreign motor at the Jubilee garage at Colsterworth today opened front to back and half tipped. I stopped for â– â– â– â– and asked the driver if he needed any help, but he had it under control and was waiting for the police. He reckoned about seven pallets of gin had gone.
I did wonder after seeing the Snap sticker in his windscreen why he didn’t go park in the truckstop, and the cynic in me suspected that there was many thousand reasons why he didn’t.

I dont see why they cant employ security to man the Hgv entrance park .Its taking the â– â– â– â– really.

You are being a cynic.
Surely, he wouldn’t want to lose a “No damage” bonus, now would he?
.
Booze is a good theft target.
No internet connectivity so largely untraceable.
Units small enough to sell on easily.
Crack the top and sample it, so punters aren’t afraid of forgeries.
Much easier to shift than phones/electronics, cars, jewellery. Tobacco is better because more value per ton, but has same advantages.

That’s a very…
Concise and well thought out synopsis.
It’s like you know a great deal about the topic.

Moi?

Ive carried some stupidly expensive stuff, as many of us have, but it is the common or garden staples of ordinary booze
n`baccy that the crims can get rid of easily that worry me the most.

This. One of our trailers at London Gateway in the Wincanton depot had it’s lights nicked. That’s a depot that is fully fenced with electric gates, security on during the day, ANPR, gate code and intercom entry on a night so the only person who nicked them was another driver.

That would involve them spending money to pay his wages.
Much cheaper to put up signs saying trucks are parked at your own risk . We do not accept liability for any damages occured whilst on site
Not been in for 3-4 months, but there is/was security on at night, in a small building near the exit.
Most cars in the truck parking are lost, then try to leave the same way they came in.
