So which was the better? and what was the main differences between them? I know the LV was made from '62 and the ‘A’ series from '71 although mainly tractor units…

I found that the a series was much better, I drove a p reg which must have been one of the last ones. the ride was better as they had longer front springs, it had power steering . and it was a lot easier climbing in the the cab with the steps being in front of the wheel. also the bonnet didnt lift up 6inches when going at speed? like it did on the old lv,s lol.other than that they were about the same

I got an almost-new J-reg A series in a previous existence, which I reckoned was far nicer to drive than the LV.
And all that pretend wood on the dashboard!
