curtains slashed n fuel stolen from there, been a spate of it there in last few months was what the copper told our drivers

If they are aware of an ongoing spate of thefts, then why are the useless ■■■■ s not trying to sort it by actually policing the area regularly to try and catch these arse holes.
Too busy poncing around in an unmarked tractor unit, followed by a BMW trying to catch unsuspecting truckers having a mobile coffee presumably,… getting their priorities right eh? :unamused:

I only live a couple of miles from Coalville Rob trying to help if it was me I’d park ashby every time mate

Where abouts in Ashby, do you mean the ind est opposite Tescos?
If so there aint a lot around there, except only somewhere to park, or do you know different bud?

Right if you park on that estate opposite tesco’s you have the pub by mcdonalds on the island J13 A42 also if you walk into town from there its 10 mins loads of pubs, chippys.
Now i would park on tournament way off smisby road, come off A42 J13 and head on A511 towards Burton, over first island with tesco’s on it onto the Ashby bypass, next island turn left onto smisby road heading towards Ashby town center go past new houses on left and tournament way is on the right opposite Arlas old dairy site, turn in go up top turn round and park on there, walk down smisby road 5 mins there’s a pub called the bluebell landlord is a driver for Barry Proctor (Pete) chippy opposite also extra 3 min walk you’re in to the town. :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

Thanks a lot for that bud, I’ll give it a go sometime no doubt.

Last night and not the first time recently I saw police and securitas driving round. The council offices are on this patch, might have to go on to ashby now I’ve been informed of the new knowledge and have a bit of a flutter between the two as recently it’s been a convenient place for me personally.

Cheers for that. Used to stop opposite tesco regularly, but stopped after having curtains slashed twice. Once with the rear door open… :imp:
Used to go to the Arla dairy a lot years ago. Are you talking about the bisquit factory?

Maybe so, but if there was a regular active Police presence at this and other sites, at least it would go a long way to deterring these bastds.
What happened to that lad who was a copper who started off a Truckcrime awareness website off his own bat, I think it was scrapped as the powers that be could not be arsed to support him, or fund him.
Those are the type of coppers that I still respect, those that can be bothered to get off their arses and do their job for the good of the public, not to raise ■■■■■■ revenue.

problem nowadays rob is they gettin rid of the two legged copper and replacin em with cameras n fixed penalties n lets be honest when they are caught it aint even a slap on the wrist nowadays too deter em doin it again

Yeh, that’s another reason why we see more ■■■■ poor lane discipline than we used to. A camera will see a procession of middle lane hoggers for a split second, they have maybe travelled ■■■■ miles like that because there are fewer or no Patrol cars anymore to monitor them.
What happened to the fines for these tossers in the new law against middle lane hogging, that came out a couple of years ago, and how can it be monitored if there are no Police on the Mway. :unamused:
