Lune Rd Ind. Est, Lancaster

Had to go to Lancaster last week driving my usual Volvo
I-Shift 460 Globetrotter with fridge trailer.
Can only say to anyone who has,nt tipped at this site,
forget all about your usual ideas about ind. estates.
Approach is through town centre one way system
Exit through narrow residential area.
Can laugh about drive now but i wasnt at the time !

You have my sympathy. I have been there, done that., 45’ trailer, with 24tonnes of timber on.
IIRC,Follow the one way system round until you get to Waterstones book shop on your left, turn left up the narrow side street, over the railway bridge, turn right , take a sharp (7 o’clock angle) left turn into willow lane, negotiate your way throught the traffic calming chicanes, and squeeze through the entrance to the estate on yer right. Deep Joy.

i had the mis fortune to do a delivery there sometime last summer.
fighting your way round the 1 way system at 5pm :open_mouth:
onto the ind est, finds the drop. bloke comes out.sorry mate ,you cant drive in the yard, you have to back up 200 yds, turn around and reverse back down. now see that alleyway there, very tight :frowning: you have to back down that then connect all your pipes and put them through the fence to get on the silo :open_mouth: . awkward yes. but on the goodside.
park next to to river for my night out, 1 minute walk to town, loads of pubs, people and food. and a good nights kip to.
not that bad then afterall
