Lunch meal allowance

hi hope this is in the right place but mods please move if needed,i have heard that if your night out money doesnt include a lunch meal allowance that theres a form for hmrc that gives you a tax break anybody aware of this [employed not self employed]

subsistance living allowance (night out money) has no bearing on your daily meal allowance, they are two different things.
your daily meal allowance is £2.00 tax free. your boss should give you this. however, hmrc have many forms for claiming this sort of thing, we are entitled to between £50 and £60 tax free. there is a thread all about it somewhere.

Did you here this in a RDC waiting room by any chance ■■?

Somebody is taking the pee out of you. Ask any company and ill think youii find that night out allowance is actually called a sustinence allowance.

Dont really matter what its called, it still ain`t enough!

Meal allowance and subsistence allowance are two different things. On top of your night-out money (subsistence allowance) your employer can pay you a £2 mid-day meal allowance, whether or not you do a night out on that day, but no forms need to be filled in to do this…
