Lunatics blocking the roads tomorrow

Outrage towards these protests is only because people don’t agree with what is being protested, or in the case of the Extinction Rebellion because it represents too much of an inconvenient truth.

If these protests were pro Brexit or about our wages then this forum would no doubt be completely backing the disruption.

Was about to say almost the same thing, and no doubt those again a pro-Brexit protest would be shouting about a right to protest being denied.

But that’s the thing, here we have a right to peacefully protest for whatever cause. That’s all this lot are doing whether anyone agrees with the sentiment behind it or not.

maybe, but we voted and "to leave " was the maiority, I was one of them. so move on cause none of this protesting is gonna change it… :bulb:

Ironically it’s so called professional drivers in LGVs which block the roads everyday which causes more disruption for Joe Bloggs going about hhis everyday business.
With it being driving into the rear of each other, driving into a bridge, or even the load falls off.
I wish truck drivers would take a leaf out of the lefties book, and just cause disruption on a weekend, instead of every day of the week.

Will you just OFF KCUF all you do is moan about truck drivers and brexit but say nothing constructive

Oh come on, every forum needs a troll!

This one has a whole family [emoji6][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

This is of course true, but then again those supporting these protests would be complaining about if it was pro Brexit and I wonder what the media coverage would look like?

of course they do.BUT what a waste of time, energy and resources when you and I know it wont change the democratic result…

I don’t see it as anti-democratic.

The EU said to the UK do not waste the extension.
So where was all the pro-EU mp’s who could of easily scrapped the 6 week summer recess?
Exactly. 6 week break and no one was interested in getting rid of it for an ‘apparent’ emergency situation.

Also the Lib Dems want to cancel Brexit, they do not want to give the people a real choice. The Lib Dems have even said if we vote to leave again they will still campaign to remain and will always be the remain party.
How can we have another referendum if one side can not respect the vote of it.

I just hope we leave the EU as I’m sick of Brexit. it could be worse. But I can not stomach another extension (that could be ALOT LONGER upto 18 months).
18 more months of brexit being on the news and 18 months of uncertainty. No thanks.

I voted remain but I do respect the vote of the referendum and I put a large proportion of the blame onto the shoulders of the remainers who did not respect the vote.
If only they accepted the vote and campaigned for the softest brexit possible this would of been done with ages ago.

Just one big WhingeFest by the bleating remainers, protesting about their view of ‘An affront to democracy’ and failing to see the ABSOLUTE irony of it, bearing in mind it only coming about because they fail to accept a democratic vote themselves in the first place. …you could not make it up.
A good plot for a Monty Python sketch if they were still going. :bulb:

This has nothing to do with a protest about democracy but everything to do with stalling tactics to continue, and fuel their embarrasing campaign to remain in the EU.
It’s time they all shut the ■■■■ up and let us get on with what was decided in the referendum.

If you would care to read my post again you would find I do suggest a constructive solution!
Which is,
could you not do!
bashing bridges, or shedding loads on a weekend as apposed to a weekday thus hampering many thousands of us normal folk going about about our everyday business.

I don’t think anyone working for an agency “supports industrial or opposition action” somehow, even if you are a hard-left driver.

Did anyone post on here some pics at one of these demos? I must have missed them, not that I’m looking for such material. :unamused:

Beware Adam, this wearing down might be what they hope will allow a reworded version of May’s surrender document to be submitted and passed giving us BRINO instead of Brexit, they know that millions, you and the rest of us, are sick to the back teeth of it and no doubt some would be prepared to accept it grateful the bloody elongated saga is finally over.
May’s leaving agreement is the sort of document a defeated and destroyed nation would have to sign after losing a war.

We’ll need Farage yet.

As an aside i read something today, a warning to leftie hoodlums from someone supposed to be from Britain First, apparently some of these protester types have been harrassing JRM at his home, BF have warned if this continues they will find these people and do the same to them at their homes :sunglasses:

JRM is local to me but not my MP. There were 9 people that turned up at his house and were moved on by police shortly after. There is bad feeling because of the £7.5 million that his government has given to restore his in law’s house. Any large protests regarding the proroguing of parliament, have been outside his constituency office to be fair.

Labour - are gambling that people would rather be shafted by “No Brexit” than shafted by “No Corbyn Freebies”.

If you get the freebies after all - do YOU care “how they are paid for?”

The Tories, by comparison - KNOW that to “kick the can” is to “kick the bucket”.

If Brexit now does not happen - there’s no way the Tories advance in seats enough to win a majority at the next election.

“Being the biggest party” - no longer cuts it, not what every “smaller” party dead set against anything and everything you ever propose in parliament.

If I’ve read it right Blair has thrown many of us at least in areas intended for bulldozing as part of Tory housing development policy,a lifeline ( bribe ? ).In the form of an economic report produced by his own think tank which suggests that more housing isn’t the answer to the fact that people just ain’t earning enough to buy and run a house at any price.( Do people really think that developers and banks exposed to billions based on current housing stock values intend to put themselves out of business in that regard anyway ).

On that note Farage trashed Batten now I,at least, trash him by voting for hopefully Blair :open_mouth: to come back and throw Corbyn under the bus. With the payoff that, unlike a vote for zb BoJo and his Tory muppets we save the local Green Belt areas and I don’t have to move. You did say vote on the basis of what’s in it for me.Bearing in mind that Labour came second here in Raab’s constituency at the last election and this is a 60/40 remain constituency.
